It all starts with the breeding process, when crosses are made to provide our independent growers with our unique Driscoll’s plant varieties. The Breeding department sees the development and improvement of new varieties as their top priority. Each plant is different and requires a different approach, that is why they continually look for the answers to questions regarding the plant condition and shelf life of berries. After new promising varieties are created, they are grown on our own test plots and tested by both experts and consumers.
